Wegz : La voix d’une génération entre trap, tradition et révolution musicale
Wegz, de son vrai nom Ahmed Ali, est l’un des artistes les plus influents de la scène musicale égyptienne contemporaine. Né à Alexandrie en 1998, il a su imposer son style unique mêlant trap, hip-hop et influences orientales, devenant une icône auprès de la jeunesse arabe. Un parcours fulgurant Wegz a commencé sa carrière autour de 2017, en publiant des morceaux sur YouTube. Son titre « Dorak Gai » en 2019 a été un tournant majeur, accumulant des millions de vues et l’installant comme le visage du rap égyptien moderne. Son flow énergique, ses paroles crues et sa capacité à capter les réalités sociales du pays lui ont rapidement valu un immense public. Une musique ancrée dans le réel Les chansons de Wegz parlent de vie urbaine, de lutte sociale, d’identité et d’ambition.
